Details:
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations a coating to two inches.  Ice accumulations of one
tenth to one quarter of an inch with slightly higher amounts over
the Berkshires, Litchfield Hills and the eastern Catskills.

* WHERE...In New York, the eastern Catskills, Schoharie Valley,
Helderbergs, Mohawk Valley, southern Adirondacks, upper Hudson
Valley, Capital District, and the north central Taconics. In
southern Vermont, Bennington and Windham Counties. In
Massachusetts,  Berkshire County. In Connecticut, Litchfield
County.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to noon EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation begins this afternoon as mainly
rain, changing over to a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain,
with some snow across northern areas. The wintry mix tapers off
Friday morning. The highest ice amounts of locally a quarter to a
third of an inch are expected across the Helderbergs, eastern
Catskills, Berkshires and the Litchfield Hills.

Information:
Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

Details:
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations up to 3 inches and ice accumulations around three
tenths of an inch. Greatest risk for over one quarter inch of ice
accretion will be in the southern Berks and the southern Worcester
Hills.

* WHERE...Interior high terrain of Southern New England. This
includes the eastern slopes of the Berkshires, Worcester and
northwest Middlesex Counties in Massachusetts, as well as Tolland
and Windham Counties in Connecticut.

* WHEN...From 5 PM Thursday to noon EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, with tree and powerline
damage possible. Greatest risk for ice damage will be in the
southern Berks and the southern Worcester Hills. The Friday
morning commute will be impacted.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations a coating to 2 inches...except 2-4 inches possible
north of route 2 in far northeast Massachusetts. Ice accumulations
a trace to one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...The Connecticut River Valley in Connecticut and
Massachusetts, northwest Rhode Island, as well as eastern and
northeast Massachusetts.

* WHEN...From 5 PM Thursday to noon EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The Friday morning
commute will be impacted.

Details:
Residual wet surfaces from snowmelt will freeze overnight as
temperatures drop back well below freezing. This will allow
patches of black ice to form on untreated ground surfaces.
Motorists traveling overnight through early Thursday morning
should allow extra time to reach their destination and be prepared
for black ice. Untreated walkways and parking lots may also
become very slippery for pedestrians.
